About Us

For more than 20 years, Carolina Day School has hosted a biennial auction to benefit a targeted need at the school. Our auctions are notorious not only for the significant funds they raise to support our school, but also for the invaluable opportunities they provide for us to gather as a school community to enjoy each other’s company at creative, themed events.

The 2015 auction’s talented team of volunteers led by auction chair Elizabeth Roth are planning creative and fun ways to engage families across divisions in our "School of Rock" theme. The auction includes two special events: On Friday, April 10 the Family Night Auction celebrates all musical genres in a Willypalooza theme including a silent auction evening filled with games, activities, and dinner in the Lower School gym. This family focused event provides an opportunity for our students to see the value of supporting a cause greater than themselves—our beloved school. The April 18 School of Rock Big Bash returns to its original home in Nash Athletic Center with attendees encouraged to dress as their favorite musical performer for an evening of fabulous cocktails, food, and live and silent auctions.

The goal is to raise $200,000 between the two events. Proceeds support enhancement to the school's music education program, improvements to the student workout facility, and support of faculty professional development. Save the dates and plan to be there to join in the fun!
