In 1976, at Asheville Country Day School, a great school tradition began: Auction Gala. In the following 42 years since its inception, Carolina Day School has hosted a biennial fundraising weekend to benefit the school, its students, and its faculty. Our auctions are famous for two reasons — they raise significant funds and allow the school community to come together and enjoy each other’s company at beautifully themed events. This year’s Gala will carry on that tradition and we are excited about the new enhancements that will make this auction especially memorable.

Currently, the biennial Gala Auctions provide the largest amount of community-wide philanthropic support to teaching, learning, and environment at Carolina Day outside of the Annual Fund. The improvements and support our school is afforded every other year would simply not be possible without the Gala and the community’s participation.  This year's Gala has a talented team of volunteers, led by auction chair Preston Davitt, that span all divisions across campus.  The auction includes two special events: On Thursday, April 11, the family night Wonderland Party will engage all ages in the Alumni Gym with its whimsical theme filled activities, silent auction and "A Taste of Carolina Day" dinner. The April 13th Midnight Garden Gala will dazzle your senses at the Amherst on the Biltmore Estate with breathtaking decorations, a silent and live auction, VIP touch-up lounge with Turner & Co. and a seated dinner.
