In 2024, Carolina Day School wowed the community with Black & White, a modern nod to Truman Capote’s iconic monochrome ball. This year, we’re stepping boldly into full color.

Welcome to TECHNICOLOR: the 2026 Carolina Day School Auction Gala on April 26.

If Black & White celebrated the beauty of contrast, TECHNICOLOR celebrates the full spectrum—radiant, bold, vibrant, and alive. Inspired by the cinematic revolution that transformed film from grayscale into vivid color, this year’s Gala invites our community to step into a world where creativity bursts from every corner and every hue tells a story.

Set at The Venue in the heart of downtown Asheville, Technicolor will be a night of luminous energy—an immersive celebration filled with unforgettable entertainment, spectacular auction experiences, and the unmistakable joy of coming together in support of CDS. Expect dynamic color, dramatic moments, and a sense of wonder that only a fully saturated palette can capture.

This year, we are also excited to introduce TECHNICOLOR Student Art Preview Night, on April 16, a gallery-style experience where CDS students will present their artwork. This new event allows our community to admire and uplift the remarkable creativity of our students as we launch into the Gala season. Student Art is perhaps the most-loved category in our silent auction. This family-friendly evening will highlight the remarkable talent of our students and offer our community an opportunity to come together to preview the innovative pieces the students are working on this year.

Save the dates, embrace the color, and prepare to be transported.

TECHNICOLOR is more than an event...

it’s an experience!
